This sort of play helps to diminish undesirable behaviors caused by boredom and lack of exercise. If you work all day, it gives your dog company – of the human and the canine kind.
Dog Days Ranch also offers socialized boarding for dogs. Our overnighters benefit from free play during the day and are treated as our houseguests in the evening.
About the owner:
Michelle Ray, owner of Dog Days Ranch has been a lover of animals and dogs in particular since she was a young child. Michelle has owned an array of pets including two collies, a golden retriever, three Labrador retrievers, a borzoi, three cats, a rabbit, a tortoise and various rodents.
Michelle served as President and founder of Labrador Rescuers, a non-profit rescue organization and she is currently involved in therapy work with her yellow lab, Samson. Together they volunteer at Children's Hospital and have been members of Delta Society.
Michelle has also completed a training course with Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah. She was co-owner of Paws At Home pet sitting for five years.
A lot of thought has gone into the planning of Dog Days Ranch. My own dogs have accompanied me so many places – on vacations, to restaurants, shopping at malls, the beach, the park and even on my honeymoon. To say that I love dogs is an understatement. I have been fortunate to be able to spend my days at home while my lab Samson was growing up. It is my belief that having company and being highly socialized has given Samson the chance to be the best dog he can be.
I wanted to share this doggy lifestyle with other dogs whose owners might not have the luxury of staying home all day. Our doggy clients are welcomed to our home and have free run of our 1/3 acre fenced back yard as well as our home.
